Inaugural Juneteenth Freedom Festival Celebration

This three day event took place at various locations in McDowell County from the morning of Friday, June 17 through Sunday afternoon, June 19.

Friday:

  • Field Day 10 am-3pm at Lake James Paddy’s Creek: 7321 NC Highway 126, Nebo, NC 28761

  • Fishing, Swimming, Canoeing and some of your favorite field day games. All are welcome.

  • Come enjoy.

Saturday:

  • Festival 10am-3pm at the West Marion Community Park: 201 Ridley Street Marion, NC 28752

    • Food Trucks

    • Inflatables

    • Dunking Booth

    • Vendors

    • Local Artwork

    • Performances from Local Talents

    • Free Flow Band

    • Meet & Greet with Preston from BET’s show SISTAS
